Annual Cup Summaries

2007 Cup MVP Matt Jensen

Every year, the Lewis Cup executive board names a Lewis Cup MVP.  This award is based on his or her contribution to their team's overall performance, and takes into account big shots, tough match performances, overall winning percentage, and other intangibles.

In addition to the MVP award, the Cup also recognizes the first year player that best exemplifies the spirit of the Lewis Cup.  Cup rookies are sometimes ill prepared for the mental and physical grind that is the Cup, and those rookies that endure the grind are recognized.

Other events that have been added to the cup since its 1999 inception include the One-Club competition, held the day prior to actual cup matches, and the match-play competition, which has varied in format from year to year.

The following table summarizes the venues and awards for each year of the Lewis Cup matches.
